Expression & Exploration

Visual Media represents my interest in communicating ideas through imagery, composition, and form. I value visual work because I enjoy engaging with photography, art, and video as ways of capturing moments, moods, and ideas that feel difficult to express otherwise. For me, this includes experimenting with different mediums to explore perspective and expression in a personal way. In practice, this looks like taking and curating photos, working with visual layouts, and paying attention to how composition, balance, and detail shape both what I create and how I experience it. It strengthens my creativity and observation while encouraging patience throughout the process. I am drawn to work that combines aesthetics with intention and leaves a lasting impression, especially in personal projects or everyday moments I choose to document. This area matters to me because visual media is something I naturally return to, allowing me to explore ideas in a way that feels expressive and engaging.

Written Work represents my appreciation for language as a tool for clarity, insight, and connection. I value writing because I enjoy working through ideas in essays and personal writing I’ve developed and revised over time. It allows me to reflect on experiences and understand ideas more deeply through language. For me, writing often begins with personal reflection or curiosity and develops through revisiting and reshaping what I’ve written until it feels more clear and intentional. In practice, this looks like writing essays, reflections, and informal pieces where I explore ideas, then refining them to better express what I mean. It encourages critical thinking, precision, and revision as part of the process. I am drawn to writing that helps me make sense of my thoughts and experiences and gives them structure. This area matters to me because writing is something I enjoy on my own and use to express ideas in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
